Bowls are wonderful forms to make and to use. The expressive curves and open forms very naturally involve the user in the inside/outside relationship that is basic to all pottery. The relationship of the curved wall to the foot and the lip defines the form and the energy contained in that form. The decoration is meant to amplify the formal and tactile qualities of each bowl.
